Android App Video Review:

Feb 10, 2011

MSNBC has recently released an app for Android phones that brings all the latest news and video straight to your device.

MSNBC is a network instantly recognized by thousands of Americans. The network is most known for its news offerings and television programs like the Nightly News, Dateline, and the TODAY show.

Once opening the app, you are presented with a circular menu where you can access different content by category. You can browse by topic to find specific information on sports or politics and you also have the choice to browse by show.

The app loaded extremely quickly which was amazing for the amount of content it displayed. One annoyance was the sound effects for the selections, but those were easily disabled in the settings. You can also opt-in for push notifications which will automatically notify you of the latest news without the need to jump in an app. The app also allows the user to save articles in a starred section so if you want to come back to it later, it’ll be easy to find.

Overall, the app was well designed and definitely worth it considering its free price tag. Check it out.
