Android App Video Review: Great Little War Game

Great Little War Game has finally been released on Android devices. This turn-based strategy game from Rubicon Development is teeming with content. The graphics are simple and charming, the game play is strategic and balanced, and there is plenty to do in this one.

There aren’t very many turn-based strategy games on mobile devices that are really noteworthy, but this is one of them. The campaign mode sets out to teach you the ins and outs of the game, slowly introducing new units and enemies as you go along. Line of sight and differing terrain factor into the grid based maps, and as such the game boasts a lot of variety and depth. You’ll need to adjust your strategy to each new map accordingly, setting ambushes, using higher terrain to your advantage, and eventually capturing the enemies base. Other levels are completely defensive as you stave off waves of ambushing enemies. Jeeps, tanks, boats, and helicopters all change the game up as well. Your performance in the game is rated based on how many turns it takes you to succeed.
