Android App Tablet Review: Golfweek

Oct 5, 2011

Golfweek is a respected source for professional and amateur golf news and it works effectively on Android Honeycomb tablets.

The app is free to download and a small, unobtrusive ad sits at the bottom of each page. The app offers a great deal of content including news headlines, blog postings, an extensive photo gallery and separate sections for professional, college, amateur and junior golf. There’s also a useful section dedicated to travel in case you want help deciding which course to tackle on your next vacation.

Navigation is easy in profile mode, but in landscape mode, it doesn’t operate so effectively. Also, some of the photos in the gallery seemed to take a long time to load.

However, Golfweek is still a great resource and a worthwhile download for tablet users who wants some quality golf news and analysis on their Android devices.
