I visited Cleveland on my infamous 6 month road trip. Here are some of the apps that helped me get a deeper look at the city.
If you’re looking to settle in Cleveland and buy real estate – this app will help. It has home prices, nearby properties (GPS enabled), Foreclosures, for sale, and for sale by owners. Useful, has a lot of properties.
Cleveland Local News
This app aggregates news from all of Cleveland’s major news sources. It’s *very* comprehensive! Recommend.
Cleveland RTA: AnyStop
This app has all the transit info for the Cleveland Regional Transit Authority. It allows you to find nearby stops, search routes, and accurately predicts when the next bus will arrive. However -it’s the standard schedule and doesn’t update if things change so don’t rely on it 100%. Recommend.
Cleveland State University
This is the must-have app for CSU. It has all sorts of information useful to students, staff, and faculty. It has a parking map, dining locations, a map, searchable building database, news, majors and minors list, easy connection to campus 411, plus it even shows you which labs have open computers. The only trouble with it is that a lot of it links you to the website – which is not formatted correctly for your phone. Still – recommend.
Traffic Cams Widget
This is a useful widget that displays the nearest traffic cams using GPS. Works for a lot of major cities – and works particularly well for Cleveland. It’s ~US$2.15.
