Batman: Arkham City Lockdown ($5.99)
What’s it about? Fight criminals as Batman in Arkham City Lockdown, a mobile companion game to the popular console and PC title, Batman: Arkham City.
What’s cool? Criminals are on the loose in Batman: Arkham City Lockdown, and you have to fight through them one at a time as you take on the role of the Dark Knight. You’ll duel with bad guys as Batman, dodging their attacks and following up with devastating combos of punches and kicks when they let their guards down. As you win fights, you’ll be able to upgrade Batman’s gear and abilities, and you’ll fight off bosses that change up Arkham City Lockdown’s gameplay to amp up the challenge.
Who’s it for? Fans of Batman and the Arkham games won’t want to miss this one.
What’s it like? You’ll find a lot of gameplay similarities in Horn and Avengers Initiative.
Scribblenauts Remix ($0.99)
What’s it about? Adventure through side-scrolling levels and solve problems by typing words and making them into objects in Scribblenauts Remix.
What’s cool? Scribblenauts Remix just isn’t like other platforming and puzzle titles. As you come across problems as you move through each of the game’s levels, you don’t have to jump on bad guys or carry objects around – you actually have to create those objects and characters. You do it by typing in words, which manifest in the game: If you need to cross a body of water, for example, you can type “boat” and create a boat to help you get where you need to go. The game includes 50 levels to work through, with more on the way that players can purchase.
Who’s it for? If you like interesting, challenging puzzle titles, Scribblenauts Remix is for you.
