This week, the twin stick title Monster Shooter really shot to the top of the charts, taking hordes of alien octopi with it. The new bullet hell shoot’em up, Shogun saw an Android release and quickly grew in popularity. Two new freemium games with lots of IAP options were also released. Running Fred; a casual auto-run platformer in three dimensions, and Legendary Heroes; a pocket sized take on League of Legends and DoTA. All of this and more can be found in this week’s top Android games!
C.H.A.O.S. is a very comprehensive and complex helicopter combat game. It’s the first Android title from Sky Jet International, and it offers a rather unique mobile gaming experience. The controls will be the biggest barrier to entry here, incorporating both tilt and virtual button controls in complex ways. Once you get used to the game, it really opens up, offering several missions, online multiplayer and an expansive hangar full of helicopters, each fully customizable with dozens of upgrades. The low resolution 3-D graphics may look somewhat plain, but they’re still well done given the nature of the game. This game won’t be for everyone, but I’m sure many of you will love it.
