Several big brands brought their best to the Android platform this week, starting with Flipboard. The popular social magazine for iPads has finally made its way to Android devices after months of anticipation, weeks of built-up hype, and a very public leak. Nike also ported another great training app to Google Play, helping you stay fit. But if you’d rather watch some already-fit tennis players go at it, the official Wimbledon app has arrived just in time for the All England Lawn Tennis Championships.

Radiolab ($2.99)

A popular podcast from WNYC, Radiolab features 20-minute shows with fascinating insight into the human mind, or as hosts Jad Abumrad and Robert Krulwich say, “wonder, curiosity and big ideas.” It’s great to see a dedicated Android app from Radiolab, which expands the listening experience by letting you add your own audio effects, text and photos based on requests from the hosts, uploaded to Soundcloud. With the app you also get access to blog posts and push notifications for news, new episodes and events.
