Pinterest is by far one of the most addictive new social sharing sites on the market, but it’s yet to go mobile. And while you can still pull-up Pinterest photos on a mobile web browser, it’s just not the same as being able to share photos with friends and organize your interests into personalized collections. Pinterest has made it difficult for third parties to create apps that include Pinterest feeds, significantly minimizing the number of Android apps that once specialized in Pinterest content, but there’s ways to get your fix, even beyond Pinterest.
Building on the idea of online collections, Kullect is a vision board tool that lets you add more than just photos. Designed for mobile use, Kullect’s free Android app lets you make virtual collections of photos, videos, locations and notes, made public for sharing and discovery. There’s an activity feed showing recent additions to collections you’re following, and a tab to access your personal Favorites. The Discover tab helps you find people and collections of interest, which can really come in handy when you’re in a new city and are looking for recommendations on local restaurants and activities.
