Android App Tablet Review: The Lorax – Dr. Seuss

Sep 30, 2011

The Lorax is more than just an e-book for your Android tablet.

This interactive story will delight you with it’s whimsical illustrations, fanciful narration and suspenseful music. Young children can tap objects and words on the screen, creating fun sounds and visual effects. This will capture and hold their attention, and may even help them learn how to read.

To mix things up, users get to choose how they’ll experience the story. Choose from “Read to Me,” in which a narrator tells the story, and you turn the pages; “Read It Myself,” without a narrator; and “Autoplay,” which makes the story play out like a movie.

$4.99 may seem a lot to spend on a single app, but The Lorax is worth it. This is a well-designed tablet app that can be experienced in multiple ways and enjoyed by the whole family over and over again.
