Track down that song that’s running through your head by typing a search or even just humming it with SoundHound. Once you identify the song, give it a listen, learn more about it, and maybe even download it for purchase.

SoundHound is outfitted with state-of-the-art music recognition technology that uses your device’s microphone to “listen” to the song and tell you what you’re hearing. Once you’ve found the song, SoundHound gives you all kinds of options, from buying the track through to reading through the lyrics, and even catching the music video on YouTube.

It’s this last option in particular that makes it worthwhile using SoundHound on the amped-up screen of a tablet. The navigation also works better on tablets than smartphones.

Either way, Soundhound is an Android app that will have you at hello.
