The tablet edition of NOOK for Android is one of the most customizable e-reader apps in the Android marketplace.

If the digital screen starts to wear on your eyes, you can choose different font sizes and screen brightness. Pages can be bookmarked and highlighted, notes added, and unfamiliar words looked-up in the dictionary.

One of NOOK’s more fun features is its animation. The app actually simulates the experience of turning a page in a paper book.

Barnes & Noble offers books, periodicals and magazines which means you’ll find what you’re looking for when conducting a search. The app even has its own magazine subscription feature, which puts your favorite magazines right onto your tablet device.

NOOK has a simple, yet very classy looking interface that most users won’t have any difficulty finding their way around. It’s a tablet app that really gives Kindle a run for its money.
