Android App Tablet Review: Kindle

Sep 30, 2011

Kindle is one of the best apps available for any Android tablet. The device’s larger screen makes it the perfect size for reading, whether you’re in bed or the waiting room.

You’re able to access new releases, titles on the New York Times Best Sellers list and tons of literary classics through the app. A lot of these will cost you some money, but there are also a number of free ones.

When you open up an eBook through Kindle, you’ll find that it’s easy to read as a page that’s printed on paper. In case the glowing screen is rough on your eyes, users have the option to increase the font size and change background settings.

Kindle is a well made, easy to use app. It would be nice, though, to see Kindle developers add more customization options similar to those that are found on an actual Kindle device.

Still, the Kindle app is pretty much essential for any avid reader who owns an Android tablet.
