Make it easy for friends to meet up with you or coordinate a destination with Glympse, an app that’s all about sharing your location while maintaining your privacy.

The app uses your tablet’s GPS technology to pinpoint your location, then lets you send it to friends. The recipient doesn’t even need to have the Glympse app – they just needs to pull open a web browser to check out the link you send, which shows your current location on a Google map. You can also configure your Glympse messages to include text and show where you’re headed with directions.

On a tablet, you’re also treated to large maps, and you can toggle a satellite view for an even more detailed look.

Great for sending directions with minimal fuss, Glympse has a pretty specific function but handles it beautifully with lots of information and a high ease-of-use factor.
